What are combo classes?

We offer combo classes to our younger dancers ages 2-8.These classes typically consist of tap and ballet and as they get older there may be a jazz section incorporated.For the combo classes, students need to purchase tap and ballet shoes.Halfway through the class, the teacher sends the students out to the parent to switch their shoes.We ask that the parents stay to help with this because it is very difficult for the teacher to help each child individually.

Do I get to watch classes?

Parents are absolutely allowed to see their dancer.Our studio is equipped with cameras in each of our studios that you can view on a TV in our lobby.We have found that having parents inside the classroom can be distracting.Sometimes teachers will invite parents in to watch something the students have prepared.We also schedule a few days throughout the year where parents/family are invited to attend a special performance at the studio.

Is there a dress code?

Students must wear the correct attire for all practices in the dance studio.It is difficult to dance and move in levis or other regular clothing, so to have the best possible experience, please have dancers dress appropriately.

Competition students must wear all black. A plain black leotard, uni or top and, black leggings or booty shorts for black sweatpants or Harem pants for Hip-Hop. Black leotard with white or pink tights, pink ballet shoes, booty shorts, or Extravadance endorsed leo/ booty shorts combo for ballet. Only Bare feet, paws, half-sole ballet shoes, or dance socks are to be used to dance.

Clean tennis shoes and/or dance sneakers are to be used for Hip-Hop.

Combo Classes: Studio approved leotard and tights.BLACK ballet shoes and tap shoes.

Where can I buy dance clothes and shoes?

You may purchase any of these items from the front desk or find them outside the studio if you wish.

How and when does my account get charged?

Tuition is done using monthly auto-pay from a bank account, debit card, or credit card on your account.Tuition is run on the 3rd of every month.We ask that you please keep your account information up-to-date by letting the front desk know of any changes that need to be made.

How do I stay in communication better?

All of our newsletters are sent out via email. We have flyers around the studio and we keep our social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram) as up to date as possible. If you have any further questions you are always more than welcome to talk with our Front Desk Staff.

How do recitals work?

We have two recitals during the year:One in December before Christmas time and one that in June.Our recitals are required for all competition students, and are optional for rec/combo classes.

What happens if we miss a class?

Attendance is a crucial part of a dancer’s progress.Being absent affects not only the missing student but others in the class/team, especially when working on performance material and technique. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

How do snacks work?

We offer tons of snacks at our front desk to help dancers keep their energy levels up!We have drinks in the fridge and offer a variety crackers, chips, and other snacks.You can purchase these for $1 each or you can buy a punch pass for your child that is $10 and kept behind the desk for when your child wants a snack.

My dancer is really enjoying dancing and wants to take it to the next level. What is our next step?

We love our students and want each of them to grow!For students that want to take their dancing to the next level we recommend that they try-out for one of our competition teams.Try-outs are usually in May but are subject to change.Competition teams push our students and are a huge time and money commitmentsbut are well worth it in terms of the skills, confidence, and life lessons learned.

Can I rent your studio?

Yes! We rent our studio out for a variety of private events: birthday parties, family events, group classes, theater troupes, private lessons, etc.Prices vary depending the nature of the event, number of people, duration, and other details.
